wanting your opinion on a card

Compared to my Evgs Geforce 5600 XT with 128 mb ram, where do these 2 cards rank?

PNY Geforce MX4000 128 MB DDR / AGP 8X

or

XFX Geforce FX 5700 LE 256 MB DDR at 8X

thanks just wondering if either was better than mine. I am biteing my tongue to not buy a top of the line card so I can check out the next gen cards coming out in fall.

MX4000 = as bad
5700LE = better......but not by a huge amount. wait until new cards are out, then go buy a 9800pro

Then keep what you have and save your money.

The 5600xt may not be a world beater but plenty of us have far less to work with untill the big day.

The MX4000 is a business/office type card. While the 5700LE provides a notable boost, it's not enough to justify upgrading from a 5600XT. I'm looking forward to a GeForce 6800GT myself.

AFAIK, the GeForce 6800 will come in 4 flavors-

6800 Ultra Extreme (GeForce 6850 Ultra?)
6800 Ultra
6800 GT
6800 (12 pipes)
