FarCry 1.1 patch and drivers issue

Just installed FarCry today and the graphics are really good (Med-High settings). I played for a bit then decided to install the 1.1 patch.
I really shouldn't have because the patch is now giving me graphical anomalies and water reflection issues and I must be getting 15-20fps now too(AA is off--MEd-High settings). I'm using 53.03 drivers for my 5950 Ultra.
Are there better drivers to use for this game that will correct these anomalies and maybe give me a little better performance too? I don't wanna have to go through reinstalling the game to fix the 1.1 patch problem.
This game REALLY stresses my system!

I use whatever the latest drivers are from Microsoft for my Nvidia card (October, sometime was teh release date).

The 1.1 patch fixed by graphical anomalies...

I tried the 61.11 drivers and all is well. Not perfect, but MUCH better.
