newegg bartons a good choice?


anyone know if the 2500+ at newegg is a goood overclocker?

I think you'll only be able to do fsb overclocking. I think they're locked now a days. For a few extra dollars you could go for a mobile 2400 or 2500, those oc pretty well.

I got one of the desktop 2500's and can run it @ 220fsb. If you have good cooling, ppl say the mobiles OC pretty well.

Its not what people say but what people are getting thier getting like up to 300mhz or so more the nthe 2500 desktop will ever give u with normal cooling like Air or water.

Id get the 2500+ Mobile or 2600+ mobile. I would also get one @

www.excaliberpc.com you can pick steppings thier new egg you cant.

I would get this cpu

that one is a lil more then i want to pay right now.... anyone get one of the 2400+ barton mobiles from newegg who could give some insight on how they are at overclocking?

Luck of the draw, because you don't know what stepping you're going to get ... I'm sure the inventory changes week to week. On average, you're probably going to get 2.3 to 2.4Ghz out of it.
