Don't make up data. It's much more meaningful when you're actually using real numbers to tell a story.

User Friendly: 4, not really very important. I go back to the days of dos 2.0 and command line unix. I consider an OS to be user friendly if I can figure it out fairly quickly. The transition to a new OS can be annoying but once I get friendly with it, it is friendly with me.

Support: 2, don't make me laugh. 800 numbers are a joke. Press 1 for this, press 2 for that. What number do I press to speak to a human? That is the last number on the list (if they even bother to make that an option).

Security: 3, I use windows and take responsibility for that on my own.

Compatibility: 4, see my points under user friendly.

Stability: 8, it had better be. I remember win 3.1 and the dreaded GPF. I got then like 20 times on a good day.

Virus Protection: 1, back in thr days when MS was borg assimilating every good idea under the sun, they should have made anti-virus a system service.

Popularity: 1, who cares? I am the only person who uses my computer and that is just the way it is.

Programs: 8, but then there are plenty of programs for most O/Ss these days.

Easy of Install: 2, I only do that twice a year, as long as I can do it in an afternoon I am fine with it.

Ability to run Servers: 2, not really. I am behind a dybnamic IP#.

2)
What operating system do you prefer

I am using win2k right now. I can't do mac without spending way too much on hardware. After I finish my current upgrade, I will have some working hardware that I can use to play with linux w/o taking my main box down.

3) What do you use your computer for?
EX: gaming, servers, watching "movies"

Gaming, music, movies, surfing, general use.
