How to get messenger to use default browser?

Is it possible to get msn messenger to use my default browser through the registry or whatever?(like MyIE2 or Firefox)It is annoying to not have tabbed browsing when checking my hotmail messages. I could always just use hotmail.com, but I would rather just modify messenger if possible.

I meant when I use the email link it uses IE, if I click a link someone sent me it uses the default browser, it is just stupid. Anyone else?

I'm not sure if you can or not, that just may be the way they programmed it, figured IE was best to check Hotmail, lol. I dunno, I searched on Google, didn't really come up with anything...
