KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!! KITTENS!!!
Basically.. here's the run down:

I have a g191C LCD I got from ebay, and I'm kind of stuck with it at this point. It's a seiko and here is the manual:

My friend is an electronics nerd, a nd he said he'd be the one to help me...

He said something about it interfacing via 3-wire serial or something, basically he needs more help just on what *he* needs to do. He can make a converter or interface probably quiet easy.. but blah. Also, I can write with him interfacing software with some help. I really don't want to give up,

Where can I find an inverter to power this thing as well?

Some resources/posts I found about this that may help:

This guy made a post about thier company having a controller, also in teh same board about a controller that works with the g191C, I don't understand what controller they mean, and his site is 404 but someone else m ight know...

Someone asking about interfacing with a controller...

Someone from another forum made this comment:

Common driver (HITACHI HD61105)
A common driver (CD) is a CMOS IC with 80 drive outputs. The G191C has two CDs, whose
internal registers are connected each other.

means the lcd has 2 common drivers !?! and you would be able to interfacce the lcd. but i think there is no software supporting this lcd because the interfacing method is special comparing to lcds with "normal" common drivers.

I need to know how to Interface this with the PC, I don't really hopefully need DETAILED information,b ut just a quick rundown since my electronics firned would probably be able to help me easily with technical stuff. Basically I need this to be done by 4 pm on friday, which is kinda a strech. I really would like help, I can always write the software myself for controlling it I just need mainly the interfacing with a serial port etc.

Thanks,
