Anyone else having problems with X800 pro & FarCry?

I can't hardly play FarCry with my new X800 Pro. I keep getting these types of scenes in gameplay (see below)....water everywhere and missing objects and enemies that keep shooting evethough I can't see them. I am running the Cat 4.5s and I tried the 4.4's but it was still the same problem. I tried to install the 4.2 cats that someone recommended but they wouldn't install...even after I ran Driver cleaner 3.0. what do you guys think?

Krag, it's odd that you have that problem and I haven't. I'm running my X800 Pro on a P4C800-E w/ a 3.0 @ 3.5 as well. I'm running the Cat 4.5s and the No-CD patch for Far Cry 1.1. Could it possibly be some other software you have installed causing the conflict?

Hmmmmm, we have almost identicle setups...except my noCD & farcry are version 1, not 1.1v. I am not sure yet, bobmanfoo said he is having the same probs too. I just downloaded the Omega 4.5s, I'll give them a spin.

Het bobmanfoo, what version of FarCry do you have? Version 1 or 1.1 with the patch? Maybe thats it?

I'd be ver surprised if upgrading to 1.1 didn't solve all your Far Cry problems. Let me know if you need the No-CD.......

Hey Krag ,

I'll throw my .02 in here .

Iam using the Cat 4.4's on my main rig w/9800P and on other rig the Cat 4.5's and a 9800P . Both rigs have FarCry ver 1.1 installed set at differant resolutions ( 1024X768 and 1200X1600 ) ; neither PC has experianced the problems you are encountering . If fact BOTH rigs run xint with the newer cat drivers and FC ver 1.1 .
Kinda seems then , that your game problem would definitly point to your new X800 Pro or your game version .

Try updating the game and see what happens .
