Well i wanna mod my duron 1600 to a athlon xp by connecting the l2 bridge and enabling the rest of the cache but sottering it was impossible. Can i just use a pencil to connect the l2 bridge or is there to much resistance in the lead?

Too much resistance. It also wont work if its a locked cpu. What you need is a crayon and some silver defogger paint, or whatever it is. Crayon fills in the little pit between then, silver...is conductive...

Actually, Yuri, you can use a pencil (according to some sites, I haven't tried it myself though). The thing that'll be a showstopper in this case (as you noted) is that the chip is probably locked, ie: it's impossible to re-enable the extra cache.
