Ok, I have a 5900NU, by the integrated thermal probe thing my temps go like this:

Load-up to 80C
Idle/browsing forums-around 55C

Do these temps look ok? I mean, the thermal throttle thing is at 140C by default, so it's gotta be ok, right?

It's just, I'm used to temps lots lower than 80C.

Well, It looks a bit hot but Im judging the temp from the 5600ultra I had, which idled around 34C.

Now I suppose your card would run hotter but I really dont know whats normal for that card.

I know one thing for sure though,In my experience if its not causing problems,it cant be too hot.

Alright, makes sense. You see, my card is voltmodded, but the voltage is as low as it will go with the current resistors. It's a bit above stock. I'm just waiting for my copper to get here, theng o to work on my water blocks.

Well, it overheats during farcry. So, I geuss that's out until I get my copper.

Really What happens when it overheats? Does the GPU Throttling kick in?

Try putting a fan under the card?

Or You can always Reseat the heatsink/fan and see if you can get better contact with the GPU.

I get artifacts oddly enough.

I figured it would just underclock, but maybe it did and it's still overheating, as it can't really undervolt itself like it usually would.

It plays other games fine though, I've played Max Payne 2, and The Specialists just fine. Seems kinda odd, but Far Cry really pushes the gpu, so maybe that has something to do with it. Adn it's a hot day.

Just another update though I'm sure no one really cares :D

Took the hsf off, and it was barely making contact. Reapplied it, and my temps dropped about 12C.
