Making your own metal case.

I am thinking about making my own case for my rig and I am thinking about going with metal for it. Has any one else done this? I want to use it because for one it is thermally conductive so I can make my case as quite as possible and also I like the way metal looks. I would be building a big case so that I could have two phasechange units for the CPU's and also a water cooling system for the video card, north bridge, hard drives, and power supply. Any help would be great. I was thinking about riviting it together or possibly welding.

Any suggestions on building it out of Lexan would also be appreciated.

i think ill probably pop rivit it all together... as for the side panels i am thinkin i may just have them profesionaly done. this means ill have to get ahold of autocad and start designing.

perhaps we should keep in touch and help eachother out on this one
