I am considering a DVD-RAM for long term data backups (since they are A LOT more reliable than plain DVD-R/+R's), but I want to make sure that Linux Kernel 2.4.24 (Xandros 2.0/Debian) supports them.
Should Linux simply see the new drive as another DVD drive? Any problems I should be aware of?
