what distro would be best?

what distro would be best for me to try? i am pretty new to Linux. Have had some INTRO classes with basic commands and some shell scripting but basically i dont know anything other than how to do a ls -l or some vi stuff, haha. I want to run a box CLI ONLY! no GUI, on it i would like FTP DNS Webserver and anything else i may need. i am very new to this... feels like when i first sat down at my first computer and didnt know anything... only now i have a degree in CIS, Cisco and A+ Cert and soon to be Net+, also i am currently ( im at work right now! sshhh!!!) working as a PC tech for a school district.... its so weird! lol
