Well I have some modding ideas for a compaq case that i have sitting around (was my first computer  ) and since i wont need it anymore i see i can just mod it and use the stuff that was in it already. This is the case i am talking about

and

What I plan on doing is putting a fan on the top, 1 or 2 fans on the side, and then plainting the front bezel chrome and the rest of the case blue. I don't feel like putting a window on it because i dont feel like spending any real money on my first modding experience because i have the tools that i need and the parts that i need to do the job. Price of the mod? $0.00 :D

What do you guys think?

I might just take off all of the clear purple stuff...who knows. If i can get some cheap plexi or acrylic i can just cut a square in the size and rivit the plexi//acrylic on, if thats even possible.

IMHO riveting is not the best idea. Generally when the rivet gun compresses the rivet the plexi is put under mondo stress and can crack. It'll work OK if you get the perfect size rivets, but be prepared with a few spare sheets of plexi.

Erm, nevermind i can't afford acrylic//polycarbonate(i now know that acrylic and plexiglass is the same thing) anyhow. So i am just gonna do my original plan and i should be good. :D

Hey, cool idea! I think the led idea mentioned earlier was pretty cool sounding... There's a sticky that has great places to buy leds for super cheap if you like the idea.

The fans you want to put on are a great idea, too.
