Could my hard drive be dying?

Hey guys. i have a 120gig hdd i use mainly for storage of videos, music, photos, .isos, .rar 's etc..

Anyways...once in a while i get a problem where it decides .zips or .rars are corrupt, then it will open them...doesnt matter if i use winrar or windows to look into the zip files...but i just get odd corruption errors.

These are legit files by the way. Fonts, themes, bootscreens etc..

itd be my luck for it to die...

Any ideas? its only this drive mind you

Run the manufacturer's diagnostics on the drive, Check the event viewer and you may want to try Speedfan or another utility that reads SMART data. Needless to say, back everything up.
