P4P800-E dlx. Slow Sound under load.

For some strange reason when I multi-task on my machine my MP3's slow down while the processor is under load. I have never seen this or heard of it happening, I downloaded the most recent drivers from asus, didn’t help. Anyone ever encounter this before? I did have my computer Oced but set it back to stock because this was happening. Running windows 2K with all latest updates.


Im still under the assumption its a driver problem.

what mp3 player r u using? its possible its a driver problem...

Seems like it does it when the cpu heats up. I've been testing and reduced hardware accleration and that seemed to do the trick. No more slowing. Althogh now when the system sits at 100% cpu for a few minutes I'll get some crackling.

what hsf fan r u using? i suggest u get a better one if ur using stock...

Onboard sound is more likely to be tied into cpu use do to the fact it lacks a dedicated processor.
