P4p800 DLx - Firewire nothin happens

ive connected a firewire cabled to my firewire cable port and digital camera and the computer doesnt seem to regognize it. does anyone know whats going on?

recheck ur firewire pins, u may not have the right sequence on ur pins...

Double check in your BIOS that your onboard firewire is enabled.
