Dont cry yet.... We are about to get some BIG folders onboard and I would take them anyday over a couple noobies. Also we are outproducing the french even with our smaller numbers if im not mistaken... As long as we keep up production we will take second and beat [H] once australia takes over the #1 spot

Oh I know im not making fun of noobies considering I am one. Im just saying that ill take BIG producers with open arms and a cake as well lol. We need every little point considering how close we are to outproducing [H]

Is it just me or has our active users fallen by about 50users in the last month or so?????????? i seme to remember it was 760ish when we started all this recuritment stuff yet its now at 715ish!

Im not happy:(

Over here in england we have a computing mag called CustomPC and i was reading through the lastest issue today and they plugged there folding team like 10 times!!! + they had a 4 page artical on DC projects and about 2 other pages totaly devoted to folding! wish we could do something like that.

but then again they were making a big deal that some guy had more than 1 pc folding under his username! i should write in and point out if they were in team 32 they would only get to about 300th place with one rig! and that they should all come join a proper team! hehe

The reason AF have so many users is in reality they are spread across loads of forums. Its like us, OCAU, [H], 2cpu and Rage all Joining the same team!

What we need to do is get the folding community out of this damn forum and let everyone see how great we all are! right?

Slater is right, the number of usernames with [site]_username in AFs new member list is astounding. Looks like we need to start pimping the subteams again.


TeamDFA, Ninjas, OC3d, etc time to get ramping... shame im going on holiday next week and have to leave my rigs off :(
 
True we can always use more people. This community is great though look at our low user count and still we seem to blow other people out of the water. I am happy with our production and how far we have gotten. It just shows everyone here is dedicated to the project. The french, australia, and [H] may have more users but who cares if they only do a couple wu's and then quit. Keep it up guys :thup:
 
more people works better than big borgs. If you get more people, they tell other people, they add other people blah blah blah. End result, lots of folders.
I do like the fact that our average power per user here is huge compared to other teams though.
 
I think the good thing about our team is on average we have most of the best folders in the world! I mean we produce nearly as much as [H] but we do it with a 3rd of the users! and on top of that we dont have any superprooducers like OC-AMD. Niks good but hes not carrying the team all on his own.

Lets bust out the calculator :D

Indervidualy we up there with the Best!!!! On avreage our active users produce about 200ppd each but AF members can only manage a measly 80ppd each :p

Another great team are 2cpu with 400ppd each but they are being carryed by OC-AMD so if you leave him out on average they only make a little more than us each.

OCAU are about the same with 200ppd but [H] can only manage 160ppd each!

My apologies for slacking on the mentor updates... I've hardly even had time to post lately, but do plan to get around to them.

On a note about new members, we only had 31 members join yesterday, of which only 18 had atleast 1 post. That isn't a huge pool of members to draw from, and our join rate has been much higher in the past.

It will be hard to compete with the sheer numbers of other teams, however our output per active member is definetly a strong point. Building and Borging is what has really gotten us where we are... Improving on our weakness though can definetly give us that extra push we need.
 
Yea thats why it perked up my attention. I am a mechanical engineering student currently. I guess I never mentioned before that I have a full onslaught of cnc mills, lathes, and routers but I dunno why I never got into case modding or anything.
