New system - need advice

I just built myself a rig

athlon 64 3.2+
gigaybte k8ns pro
1 gig , corsiar xms 3200
x800 radeon pro
200gig wester digital deskstar eide


Was wondering where I could start in overclocking this system, I definatly wanna up the chipset some, and do a few video mods, any suggestions?

ALSO - I dont know if this is normal, my old dell sure dont do it, BUT - > my deskstar harddrive is freaken LOUD, no the winding sound, but the loading, when opening a app, game, etc, its just freaken LOUD, like its crunching massive numbers in there, its not the winding sound, anyone know what im talking bout? If so, any solutions?

about the loud hdd... cant do anything about it... get a new drive...a WD would do.

is there a reason it makes this noise though? Did I purchase it broke or is this just how this version comes, Im pretty sure this is how they come..but i dont wanna be mistaken, did I just buy a peace of crap quality harddrive? I have heard my old old compaq make this type of noise right when I bought it... but that was 98 lol.

My Maxtor 120gb does this, and my WD120 doesnt. I guess its just some brands. WD's are almost always quiet.

yep, that or you can find deals. harddrive now a day are pretty cheap. 120GB can be seen sometimes going for ~$70

any suggestions on where to start ocing ? bump ;P
