Hi all,

-Is the temp of IC Max 3 in the Bios accurate?

-How can I tell what version of Bios I am having?

-Does updating the Bios help w/ overclocking?

-If it help, then what version would you prefer?

Thanks to all who reply

Just to clarify on the BIOS-version issue:

During bootup (and in the bios i think), there's a long textstring (at the bottom as far as i remember) The last 2 digits, are the bios version!

you can also find the bios revision in the bios setup.
Or Aida32 or another similiar program should show it too, I think!?!?!?!

Always use the latest & greatest.

Those BIOS temps with IC7-MAX3 for my Northwood 2,53GHz aren't accurate at all :D Says idle temps are like ~40 and full load ~50 but honestly, if I thouch my SP-94 heatsink I can't feel any warmness there. But this depens so much about your CPU too.

I've also heard that board shows temps 10 - 13 too high.
