overclocking with abit th7-raid

hi all i am kind of stumped here as to how to overclock my p4 1.7 with this mobo, i want to overclock it to 2ghz but when i go into the bios and select the speed as 2ghz it stays, even after booting into windows and coming back into the bios it is still set to 2 ghz, yet sisoft sandra in windows says it is running at 1700 and my temps did not raise at all, what did i do wrong? any help or comments are greatly appreciated.

Did you raise FSB or try to set it with the multipliers?

Have you checked for jumpers om your MB? your MB is a good one for overclocking and should have settings somewhere as long as its not attached to a name brand PC if so it could be bad news.

On a Abit MB there should be settings in BIOS if not then they would be on the Mb but i'm betting there in bIOS check your MB manual and see what it has to say. Look for a setting called user define.
