Kingston HyperX KHX3200AK2 : Anybody did 2-2-2 @ 200FSB?

I bought 1 Gig of Kingston HyperX KHX3200AK2, I believe this is CH-5, its default rated timings are 2-3-2-6. Did a search here and didn't find out if anybody pulled a 2-2-2 @ 200mhz on this baby, and at what voltage. I reckon I'd need to go over 3v to get those timings? Too bad I don't have a mobo to try it out, I fried my NF7-2 a few days ago , be getting a new 'un this weekend.

Cheers

Just wait until the OCZ's DDR booster comes out then you can pump up to 4 volts into your RAM. All winbond modules are rated up to 3.6/3.5 V IIRC.

Soon,

It is supposed to be available sometime in early July, if I am not mistaken, at or below $50 per unit. One unit required per board. There is a thread in this section, entitled something like "OCZ To Set Memory World On Fire Tomorrow" which discusses this DDR Booster. The link below will give you a taste of it (for it???).

Think I saw a couple of posts w/ someone getting 2-2-2. Think it was w/ 3.3V though and don't know how common that is. Was considering picking up some ch-5's.

Well, I think I would need that booster then cause I'll be getting another NF7, which limits me to only around 2.9v without vdimm mod. But from what I've read in that link by Reefa_Madness, I would need one of those contraptions for each stick? Or would one do for my pair of 512 sticks?

the ocz voltage thing goes in one of the slots and boosts the voltage for all the others.. connected directly to PSU from what I recall. It'd be best if you checked out that thread.

with the ch-5's i think u might hit a wall with fsb.

EDIT: So with 2x512's on the NF7 you could run DC in 2 slots and the booster in the other... Might be more economical w/ same results to just mod. About to start roaming the mod threads.

Somebody did 2-2-2-11 @ 222FSB @3.2V

The guy who posted 2nd in this thread got 222Mhz out of his CH-5's @ 3.2v at those tight timings (2-2-2-11). But he mentioned he had the newer CH-5's and he's using Buffalo Tech according to his sig. I have absolutely no idea how to find out the older CH-5's from the new ones. Till then I guess I'll just have to wait for my new NF7 to try out my ram.
