I'll talk to him and see what is going on. I can't believe he is going there though.

I got an e-mail about that thread earlier today (Won't mention from who - just a dedicated oc.com folder).

I've ICQ'ed with Kahnza today, he is indeed leaving. He had lost interest, and said that he felt he fit better in at [H].

I am sad he wrote that about overclockers.com in the [H] forum, it wasn't called for at all, giving us a bad name and all.
Anyway, who cares about what they think...

Are we perhaps too friendly around here?

Kahnza: It was fun having you around. Good luck in future DC adventures. Too bad we weren't good enough for you. Talk to you later.

I'm not going to say I'm disappointed to see him go but he did contribute a fair amount... I think the "lack of enthusiasm" thing is totally wrong... pound for pound we're the leanest, meanest team in the top ten.... and I dont know what makes him think that switching to [H]'s team is going to help his server situation...

GRRR!! Very GRRR!!!

He will run Genome@home instead of folding@home. If the genome servers go down, they will "auto generate" some work units...

And yes, he really did do a lot of units for us.

Khanza never heard the phrase "Patience is a Virtue". When the goin' get's tough, the tough get goin, and the whinners give up. If I gave up on half the things in life that I had to work and wait for, then I'd be nowhere today.

I wish Khanza luck w/ "the other guys" but as was mentioned, someone more dedicated to OC.com and folding will fill his place in no time.

Are we too positive? No way! What does negativity get you? Not much. Fold on my friends.

Yeah, why not? Lets show him exactly what "Lack of Enthusiasm" can do.

I'll take his place, I already do a good deal of folding but i am going to be upping production by another 3 to 4 GHz over th next two weeks so i'll be up there where he was before long. and i never can say i could tell he thought that way about us from his posts and the amount of WUs he did but oh well, someone that says that for no good reason would be better off at [H]ardon. oh and i too hate the content and layout of th website. but more than that they used to FABRICATE reviews and stories and tests. someone on th staff caught and accused them but nothing really happened and i guess that was for the better

FOLD ON W/OUT Khanza!

Okay...just to cheer everyone up a little bit. I just built a dual Xeon IBM Intellistation today for a customer that had a bad DVD Rom drive. New one isn't gonna be here for a couple of days so needless to say...Each Xeon will be running an instance of Folding for the next 2 or 3 days, 24/7.

These are the plain vanilla Xeons...P3 Gig w/ standard cache..just in the Xeon type slot config but they'll help. I told the rest of the IT team that I want to be sure nothing else is an "out of box failure" on the machine so I have permission to run the client until the drive arrives...Woo Hoo!!!

I think the team is stronger than ever. In the last few weeks we've seen lots of new users coming online here.

Hard doesn't need the help, so it doesn't matter.

lucky for us that he didn't join onion town or dsl

he's gone?

no biggie really.

A new Duron has been ordered for the cause. It should be up someday soon, ie as soon as it is running with an OS on the network. Gonna run it as bare as is humanly possible. Should it work fine that way I may add another. Got my $300 back from Uncle Sam. That's the kind of money that folds!

This team rocks...

First off, I gotta say I love this team, Kahnza will be missed, but I love how everyone is willing to step it up and fold even harder. Read thru this post-everyone is willing to crank it up and fold even harder. The-Last-Kehoe, willing to step up and take his place, fold on brother. Ploaf, taking his tax rebate, to build another folding machine. Stanman-who I think out folds EVERYONE using personal computers...(24 Personal computers)
Willysnut-folding to "test" systems...This team is the best...No this is not hype, but SIMPLY the truth...Here are the HARD facts...

[H]ardOCP-Weekly average per person=134.5

ARS--------- Weekly average per person=130.9

Nerdz--------Weekly average per person=79.9

DSL--------- Weekly average per person=139.07

overclockers.comWeekly average per folder=147.07

fold on brothers.......

I take great offence in these to these comments. BUT.......

"lately have been frustrated with the servers and the lack of enthusiasm of the team"
"The people over at overclockers.com are really not into the competition side of things"

I don't think we should bad mouth anyone.

This team is very enthusiastic. I have seen this team take a great jump forward since I've started folding in April.

I think we are into the competiton I know I'm. I want to be number ONE I mean two (Stanman is the Folding God).

I've do and have done my part to help other members to better them selves in Folding. I don't want to toot my own horn. I like others have donated part to team members for Folding rigs. Then I end up fending them off as there production increases. That's a good thing.

That's the difference with this team WE are a Team. We praise the ones at the top and help the ones at the bottom.

I think the party in question left because "it got to hot in the kitchen" We have a lot of new folders who are coming up fast. I have eight cpu's folding "5800 mhz" 24/7 and I can barely stay in the top 10 for the week stats. And like stanman it is at a personal cost, my electric bill as gone up 110%. Why? The need to be at the top! The good of the TEAM! The quest to be #2 (lol) on the #1 TEAM.
Let our FOLDING RIGS do our talking!!!
FOLD ON MY BROTHER FOLD ON!!!!
