EB @ 52 did not work....

I tried using wpcredit and changed the setting at 52 to EB and my sound was totally messed up. My speakers sounded just like all the magnets were cracked...sounded awefull. I have SB Live card....does anyone know what would cause this and how to fix it. Also someone made a post and said EB sometimes wont work to use EC instead. How do i set it to EC. And is EC safe ?. When i changed the settings back to where they were my sound was ok.

Same thing happend to me the speakers sounded like a banshee that just got a finger to close to a 235cfm fan. have not tried the ec tho.
