If have two sticks in dual channel mode and I add a slower (but still able to maintain current FSB) third stick, what are the effects?
 
If you have two sticks on one channel and a third on the other (assuming you've got 3 slots. You want to have the other stick be the same speed or capable of keeping up with the other two sticks. You also want the third to be twice the size of the other two so that you have the same amount of ram in the second channel... essentially If you buy slower RAM then you'll have to slow down the other two sticks... another problem is that you'll probably find that a lot of motherboards have trouble running both channels at full speed...
