RAM for HP notebook ?? 2 Gb

Well considering upgrading to 2 Gb RAM in my HP Pavilion ZD 7000 notebook,

i am looking at two 1 GB 200 PIN DDR SODIMM 128x64 chips, does my notebook have enough power to plow ahead with that much RAM or will it do more harm than good. Quite a newbie to overclockers, and read an article that the motherboard may not be powerful enough to push that much RAM??
