Prescot 2.8 at 3.5 is SOOO HoT Help

I have the cpu at stock voltage, a swiftech 4000 cpu cooler ,80mm smart fan 2, and it runs at 52 while gaming. It starts lagging ass... HELP does this chip just suck?

The Prescott's are known to run hotter, stock or overclocked. You knew that when you purchased the chip right?

You could always upgrade to a better heatsink/92mm fan.

It would help if you post what ram, motherboard, video card, and what settings are you running your ram in.

Imo, 52 isn't even that hot for load temps since you have air cooling. My guess is that something is causing you to lag not the heat.
