Value Ram=ew

I think my value ram is limiting my overclock. If I upgrade my memory, will my overclock go higher, I was looking into 4 x 256 of PC4000. Would my overclock increase, or just have faster memory? Thanks for the advice.

Read off what's written on the sides of your Value RAM chips. Some of those can have nice chips. Then you would just be held back by vdimm.

set your ram to 5:4 then see what kinda OC you can get from your cpu, if its alot higher then your ram will go you may wanna think about getting some new ram, or just keeping it at 5:4

Your running your 2.6 at 3.43GHz (263 fsb) on PC3200 valueram so I'm going with the assumption that this is 5:4 memory ratios, otherwise, you've got nothing to complain about. Besides, it is possible that at 263, you've reached your cpu's limit. Its not like 3.43 is awful or anything, is it?

If however, you are convinced it will do more, then run it at 3:2 and find your processor's limit, then you can decide what ram will best match its capabilities.
