Which came first?

I'm guessing they don't share the same system directory.

If XP was the first, I would try something like moving files that I want. Making sure that I have a fresh copy of ntoskrnl.exe on hand. Then start deleting. Then make sure boot.ini is correct. That is what I would try. But, I have an image of all my serious OS's and and have no fear of wiping it out by mistake.
