certain keys not working

my keyboard has been remaped on my xp-home box, ertain keys just beep. ad-aware 'n search 'n destroy didn't fix it. sorry for short post but this w/ onscreen keybd.

it egisters the keypress w/ a beep, sometimes like w/ the w it types the character along w/ additional chracters.

also when i highlight text with the mouse it unselects itself char by char

sounds like a dead keyboard to me, had a natural die this way when i spilled some bawls in there at a lan luckily i always bring backup ones!

Definitely a dead keyboard. Or if you have sticky keys enabled within the Accessibility Options inside the control panel of your Windows Operating system.
