Cool PSU And Motheerboard Voltage Question.

hello I was just wondering if anyone has purchased a FMI 400WATT ATX PSU from CompUsa and if so are they good for AMD because I seen amds site and I did not see that PSU in the amd aproved list but I know this does not mean its not a good PSU, and also would like to know what voltage setting do you guys recomend for for overcloking a amd 1.4 to a 1.5 or 1.6 on a KT7A Raid Mobo.
Thx

I am unsure who makes the CompUSA model but I would be leary on buying it. All their other "house" brand equipment is cheap. If you want to do it right buy a good P/S like Enermax, Antech, and a few others that I can't recall the names. As the voltage goes you will not know what you need until you overclock and you start having problems like BSOD. registry error and lock-ups. You just need to experiment with different settings until you find that sweet spot that works. There is no guide to what chip/motherboard needs in voltage, there are too many variables. Good Luck!!

I recommend you only buy AMD recognised Power supplies....if your interested in a good PSU that is recommended by AMD, the 400Watt Sparkle PSU or Antec are good high Q PSU's. I wouldn't buy an Enermax has I have heard bad things about the 5volt rail.
