Removing heatspreaders?

Got some mushkin black lvl2 pc3200. Has some nice black heatspreaders on it. But i want to sell the RAM as i have no need for it. How can i go about removing the heatspreaders safely. I want to take pictures of the pretty winbond chips.

Well the chips aren't going to be pretty until you clean the tape residue off. I'm sure people buying it would rather have the heatspreaders on. All Mushkin Level 2 PC 32/3500 is BH-5. You shouldn't need to prove that they have BH-5. Also there is not way to put the spreaders back on unless you find some thermal tape of the same thickness.

If you're still interested this thread has some info.
