on board sound breaking up

I am running the stock on board sound and during some gaming I get clipping and junk. Is this characteristic of on board systems? I have a SB Audigy on another system and maybe thinking of bringing it over to my gamer. Would it be a big improvement?

NF7-S eh? Put a heatsink on the south bridge. Also next time try to post in the right topics.

This has started happening to me, since updating farcry to 1.2.
Sound works fine everywhere else.
