IC7-MAX3 Temp jump...help?

I just got home from a trip this weekend and turned on my PC. Checking my temp reading which was previously 45-48C idle and 52-53C load, is now 52C idle 62C load. Something is ****ed here. Could my BIOS temp gauge have somehow reverted to its previous overreporting status?

you are using bios 1.6 then?

Yeah version 1.6. Now here's something weird, a little later last night and continuing into today my recorded temps have dipped back down to my typical levels

I have heard of this happening in other threads. That when you shutdown and then restart your computer your temps change.
