Alright I’m in dire need of help from you amd gurus. I’m looking to put together an amd gaming system for about $400-450. All I need is the chip and motherboard, I have everything else I’m transferring over from my p4 system. This is what I’m using so far:

• adata pc4000 2 x 256/512 or bh5 pc3500 2 x 512/1024gig, I can use either one.
• ATI 9800 pro BBA
• Raid 0 2 x 36 gig 10,000rpm sata HD

* Confession time* I don’t know anything about amd whatsoever. I have always used Intel. I did some research and came up with AMD Socket 939 Athlon 64 3500+, 2.2 GHz, 512KB L2 Cache 64-bit Processor or a clawhammer 1 mb cache but I’m stumped on what motherboard to use. By all means if you think I can get a better chip and mobo combo for $450.00 point me in the right direction.
