Question Looking for a Program That does Everything and More Then Absolute Control Did.

I have a program called Absolute Control http://www.download.com/AbsoluteCont...ml?tag=lst-0-2 and it does a variety of things: opens and closes the CD Rom drive, Turns off and on the computer, and a bunch of other things. There's a better description in the link. Here's another link with some more details: http://www.fgroupsoft.com/Absolutestartup/. Anyway, recently its become bothersome because when I boot up my machine I have a screen come up telling me to upgrade to some new version, which you have to pay for. I figure that must be something similiar and better out there. Anyone have any suggestions?

registry hacks can do a lot of that stuff but I don't know if you want to do that kinda extreme for "control"
