Can anyone tell me which ram modules this chip comes on? I have heard that for value prices these chips overclock really well.

Are the any ram modules that newegg sells that has these chips or is it hit and miss?

Newegg doesn't carry Sanmax, and the Kingston (especially if it's KVR) is probably hit or miss.

But.....

let me preface this with the disclaimer that I have no idea if Transcend makes quality pcb's or not.

Having said that here are about four or five ifs that may lead to your disired Mosel chips at Newegg.

From here you'll see that Asus claims that Transcend Model # TS32MLD64V4F3 and Model # TS64MLD64V4F3 carry Sammy TCCC or Mosel 5B.

And from here (256) and here (512) you'll see Newegg is claiming to sell Transcend modules with the correct model numbers.

So your best bet is to call or email Transcend and ask exactly what chips they have used on the TS32MLD64V4F3 and TS64MLD64V4F3 models.

Depending on thier answer you may be able to narrow your chip error margin. If (last if) I remmember correctly those Sammies are said to be pretty darn good also.

How do these chips perform?

if you get the cas2.5 version of the KVRs most likely you will get the mosels. I bought two from zipzoomfly and both were defective. had to run them single channel (using the least defective stick) until my new OCZs came in. It was sad and frustrating. Last time im getting kingstons.
