I have a P4 2.6 HT processor and I alm looking for a windows based manager that can allow Windows to "remember" what apps i like to hyperthread. Anyone heard of such a thing?

With most applications you cannot dynamically control whether it uses multiple threads or not. That is specific to the way the software was written and complied. You can, however, assign certain single-threaded applications to one logical CPU or the other. This reduces system overhead in some cases.

Tom's Hardware introduced a utility a while back that lets you assign certain tasks to a logical CPU and save that setting for when you reboot. I have not tried it though and I doubt that it works well in all situations.
