Hi,

I need to get a new video card I have a gf4 ti4200 oced but now is time for a new card.
I thought about getting a 5900xt and a 9800pro.
First of I have right now $180 dollars to spend on newegg website.
I can ethier get one of the above cards or save the $170 and in two weeks next payday buy a nivida 6800.
I do not want to buy a 9800pro and in 5-6 months need a new card or the same getting a 5900xt.
So should i just wait and get the 6800??
Also I have no idea which 6800 to get I will have $270-300 spend on one.
I know nothing about these new cards so if you guys could post some links with which 6800 is the best to buy that would be great.
My pc is as follows.

2500 barton cpu clocked 2800xp spds.
768 mb ram 2700
asus a7n8x mb dlx agp 8
asus 420w true power and antec full tower case.

So let me know what to buy as after i get a new video card next month i will get 1 gb of 3200 ram.
Have a good night.
Cheers.
Malcolm.

Glad to know I'm not the only one pondering this.
I have a 9500pro and want to upgrade. I like ATI cards but would like to get a nvidia for doom. I can put my 9500pro in another box to play dx9 games on.
I have narrowed it down to a 5900xt and then flash it to a 5950 or a eVGA 6800nu. I like the BFG 6800GT OC but dont think I can swing that extra $100 from the 6800. I would like to find out how big a jump it would be from my 9500pro to each one of these.

Yea I been watching that one also.
I think I'm going to save some more and get the 6800GT I wont be upgrading to PCI Express for a while, I'm going wring as much as I can from the 478 and socket A.
I'm going with the BFG 6800GT OC they are a great company and it comes with a lifetime warrenty.
