Is it true M0-stepping chips can handle high Vcore better?

Currently testing my new 2.8C M0 chip, running 265FSB 3.71Ghz as I'm typing this post. However it takes 1.67V for this to be SETI/3Dgaming stable so it might even take 1.7V in the end. Anyhow I understand these M0-chips all have 30 caps and a 'soldered-on' IHS. So does this mean these chips are better equipped to handle a higher Vcore? It's warm summer weather overhere so good temps to check out a chip on air, close to 27C ambient right now here in my attic.

Well, I think you still need to watch out for SNDS. My chip does the same FSB at 1.55v as it does at 1.685v. I've never had it at 1.7V. But if you don't care about destroying it then raise away....great OC by the way

nice OC dude i have taken mine to the same setting but backed off to 260 fsb 3644mhz at only 1.550 vcore and it rock solid stable, however i was'nt able to run mine like this until the as5 had settled and the cpu burnt in properly

Well it wasn't entirely stable and I don't like the high Vcore so I backed it down to 3.60Ghz again. This took 1.650V but now running 1.625V and testing. Mine's only been running for three days now but I see you're on water $anch3s so maybe that would make a difference in my case as well. Who knows I might even start builing me something like that one day...
