first off im talkin about the 128mb version of 9800pro cuz i cnt afford the 265mb .. well now tht tht is out of the way should i buy

9600xt(new release?)
256mb
**** clock/memory clock: 500mhz/600mhz???
4 piplines
a litlle under 200

9800pro
128mb
**** clock/memory clock: ?????
8 piplines
around 200

9800 is very popular and ppl say those piplines change everything but wht should i get

currently have 9500pro
:argue:

Your kidding right, j/k the 9800pro, it has a 256bit memory, 8 pipelines and I heard (don't know if it's true) that it's not fast enought to use the extra ram.

but wait then why is it that its recomended tht u have a 256mb to play doom 3 at high is it possible to use high setting with a 9800?

i have the 9800xt (flashed from 9800pro) 128mb, and i can play high quality without any prob.

if you plan to get 9800pro, make sure it's 256bit NOT 128bit.

Just to show you the comparison:

video card benchmarks

you also have the chance to flash to 9800xt with the pro if you get the right card.

You may have the 256mb for Doom3, but it just dont have the proccessing power.

I play doom3 on my mate's 9800 -flashed-to- 9800xt (430/310) 1280x1024 High Settings and i aint complaining for £140 :)
