My poor A7N8X-Deluxe

i OC my 1700+ from 133MHz FSB to 166MHz FSB and press save+exit and it doesnt boot so i assume the OC failed so i just hold down the power off button.

then i add a ram and change the graphic card and plug everything in (cuz i was upgrading the PC) At first the fan runs and the LED shows up but nothing is on the LCD screen. I reinstall graphic card and try other graphic cards and it appears to be the same. I reset CMOS and nothin happens so I read the guide and assuming BEEPS will go off when I remove RAM. But when I remove all the RAM and boot, same thing happen - no beeps (I assume that u dun need one of those Case Speaker), Fans run.

So is my motherboard ... DEAD ?
and why ....

When you reset the cmos did you do the jumper, unplug the computer and remove the battery? Try this and try to boot with a bare minimum and see what happens. Also the manual says an external case speaker allows you to hear the beeps and warnings, so yes you probably need one of those hooked up. It also has voice reporter, do you have the normal speakers hooked up for that?

i had the same problem i went to this site http://www.asus.com.tw/support/cpusu...pusupport.aspx
put in your cpu make and model like in my case i put in amd athlon xp 2500+, then you will see the model of you md hit the download , download it to a place where you can remember where it is, once you download it go to asus update program open it, check update bioes from file, then find your file you download and that is it.
if you use asus update and have it to download it from the web site it will not have the new bios they only have bios 1010 you will need 1012( that is what you would have downloaded).
