6800 or 6800gt? pls help...

im trying to set the optimum resolution for both card and suitable monitor...
Need advice from any of u who own / got some experience about these cards.

From what i think..

If i buy 6800nu its best run at 1280x1024 and i need at least 19" monitor.

While if i buy 6800gt its best run at 1600x1200 and need at least 21" monitor.

Correct me if wrong.

I have both cards and run them both at 12x10, the NU is on a 19" and the GT is on a 21"

Umm... can the gt run at 16x12 at 21"? or the performance just sux?

And 6800nu at 12x10 at 19" = smooth?

The GT runs perfect on the 21 at 16x12 and the NU can run 16x12 on the 19". I prefer 12x10 most of the time regardless. Doom 3 runs better at 12x10 on the 19" and farcry runs better at 12x7. I dont think the NU would have an issue if it had more than 128M of memory. The GT however has no issues at any res.

I just ordered a 6800nu instead of a 9800Pro that I had on order I'll let you know how I feel about the card when it comes in.

Thanks for all ur advice guys... maybe i'll get a 6800nu and a 19" Monitor....

But i still cant find a good price for 6800nu in my country...

The shops here just plain SUX as they know these cards r on demands.

I was talking to NinjaTotok this morning on YIM and it appears that he's in Asia. Does anyone know of a website that would ship that far?

Personally I have a 19" monitor and run at 1280x1024 and am getting a 6800NU... hopefully the BFG if I can ever find one.

Malaysia and it sux here... last time there is a CHaintech 6800 nu sellling around 340dolar (after i convert).

But after they know these card r on demand... they jack up the price to around 390dolar (after i convert again).

That is sick man... better i get the GT series...
