Ok, in my quest for 2 computers in one case, I am looking at using a laptop cd drive in my custom case, but have no idea if they will be compatible as it obviously doesnt use a standard cable. Does anyone have a way to do this? or links to a how to on it? my search has come up almost nil.
Thanks!

Here's one example:

This will work with most older laptop CDROM, CDRW, DVDROM and DVDRW drives with the older style interface. There is a newer version of the interface, IBM refers to it as Ultrabay Enhanced, which will not work with this interface, so be careful in purchasing.

The older interface uses a rectangular female connector with the connections on the upper and lower edges, while the new interface is almost a flat tab, again with connections on the upper and lower edges.

The internal end of the adapter attaches to standard IDE cables.
