Help! Computer won't load Windows with new Lite-On Drives

Ok,
I've tried everything I can think of, but I can't get my computer to boot with my brand new retail Lite On Drives. One is a 52x CD-ROM drive, The other is a 52x32x52x16 CD-RW/DVD combo drive. When I first turn my computer on, it boots normally. Both drives are detected by my bios. (d25, latest for my nf7-s v2.0) But when the loading screen comes up it justs hangs there. The little blue loading bar (used to be green in SP1) shows like it is loading, but nothing happens. I've let it run like this for 30 min, and no change.

I have tried every jumper setting combination possible (master, slave cs, etc) to no avail. I have also tried each drive seperately. I use the sata 150 adapter for my hard drive, and have tried it with out, but still nothing.
I have also tried both drives in my other computer and they work fine there. I really hope i'm missing something stupid here. Any help would be apprieciated.

Thanks
Lejend

Update: I switched out my round ide cable for a regular one....still no go. Switched in my old drives, and they worked (the old ones, still no go with the new drives) My drives will not boot into safe mode either.

You said your bios can see your drives right? So you cant use your CD drives at all? You can try putting the winxp cd and perform a Repair.....

I booted from my Windows CD successfully, and got into the repair console. But, what do I do now? I tried using the help command and a list came up. I tried FIXBOOT and FIXMBR. Both went thru successfully, but it didn't help my problem? Is there like a command to "re-build" my install of windows or something? Anyone know any commands that I'm missing that might work?

Yes, I know that. Once I select the repair option, it goes to something like a dos prompt. Then what do I do?

Did you confirm it to do the repair, IIRC it shouldnt go to dos prompt. Once you confirmed it to do the repair it just loads all drivers and files to your hard drive the boots you right away to winxp.....

Booting from the XP CD gives you two "repair" options... You want to ignore the first option for repair and choose to set up windows. When you get to the screen where it says an existing windows installation was found, THIS is where you choose to do a repair (second time you'll see repair).

This will completely re-install Windows without eating your registry settings for apps you've loaded, user profiles you've created, etc. Great little feature usually...
