Locked in regards to what? Multipliers? Yes.

Sort of, the mulitplier on the 3000+ will not go above 10x, but you have access to the lower multis...

I should have added you can lower or raise to default multi so basically unlocked

Well, thanks for all the replies.

I meant the multiplier, and lowering it, but another question.. why would you want to increase the multiplier when you could raise the FSB for better results?

Sometimes your RAM can't handle more frequency, but you haven't maxed out the CPU.
