Intel LGA775 P4 550 3.4 GHz


Can this processor be OCed to 4 GHz or more?

Also have you are anyone else OCed a LGA775 3.0? If you have how far have you gotten on it?

i'm not sure but i heard that there isn't a pci express lock so u will prolly have vid card problems. 3ghz is hit or miss it depends on luck and cooling.

There's is LGA 775 motherboards with Intel 865 chipset, and it don't have overclock lock.

It's pretty much how lucky you are. One guy from Finland who works for Akiba "fired" his LGA775 3,6GHz Prescott and got it running 4100MHz with 1.40Vcore. Well, after more of these LGA775 CPU's comes out it's better chance to get a better overclocker. But thinking with sense, seems like all of those new LGA CPU's goes atleast ~3,7-3,9GHz.
