Audigy 2 ZS PlPro + Zalman 5.1 headset ?

How do i use my Zalmans with my card..?

I wanna use the Zalmans for playing Half Life but my Logitech z-680s for everything else..how do i make the sound play from the Zalmans?

I have the Zalmans plugged into the internal 'half' of the card..im pretty sure thats where it should go.

Excuse the terribly newbie question..

Thanks.

Yeah you have a few options. First you can unplug the logitechs and plug the zalmans in when you wanna use the headphones (not the best way to do it in my opinion). Or buy some sort of switch maybe (but i'm not aware of any 5.1 1/8" switches). Another option is use the optical/coax out on the card and go to the logitechs though that. Then plug the zalmans into the analog outputs on the back. There should be an option to change from optical/coax to analog. So you would just go in the menu and change a setting when you wanted to use the headphones.

Yeah i have my Logitech's connected to the external bit of the card via the optical cable and my zalmans are in the analog ports on the PCI card. What menu do i go to to switch between them?

Cheers

Hmm its been a while since I had my audigy but i think its in the THX menu or speaker setup menu. Its the little drop box just below where you set the number of speakers (5.1, 6.1 etc).

well i dont have one of those menus, in fact the only actual configuration type menu is for the remote control...the rest are all like adverts. I was disappointed with that..

I found the solution though, in the windows volume control, advanced settings, there is a box "Digital Output Only" If thats ticked, sound only comes out of my Speakers, if its unticked, sound comes out of both my speakers and my headphones and all i gotta do is turn off the speakers

Easy as pieeeeee. Thanks for ur help guys
