5.1 sound + tapeplayer

is there anyway i can plug a tapeplayer into my creative sound blaster 5.1 live soudcard and then record the tape onto pc?? there must be a way but what spcket to i plug the tapeplayer in ad what software do i need cud any1 explain what i need to do thx

What kind of outputs does the tape player have? RCA? If it has RCA outputs, you should be able to find RCA->Headphone adapters at Radio Shack or something. Then just plug that into your sound card's Line In or Microphone jack. Tell windows which to record from (Mic or Line In), and you're set
