Asus K8V Basic Bios update to 1004

Hey all, im new to updating a bios. I have a K8V and want to update the bios to see if the temperature reading to my AMD 64 3200+, as its showing 51 degrees on idle and up to 55 under load. I have heard so many problems when updating your bios and i dont think i got the skiils to get over the prob. Is there any real advantage to updating ur bios (i tried auto update to update bios but doesnt find the new bios update)

Unless you are having any issues with your PC then I would not bother. I am still using the original bios that came with the board and have not updated yet.
