Hi, has anyone installed linux with raided sata drivers? how do i get drivers for this installation.

Thanks

Stormer, it'd depend on the chipset you're using. It would have to be a Linux supported chipset to run a RAID in, most likely a Promise chipset.

I don't do RAID but I do use the Serial ATA on my K8V SE Deluxe and I use the sata_promise kernel module.

I think Gentoo has a ATA-RAID howto in their user documentation for installing Gentoo on a RAID, not sure what you'd do for a different distro though.

It depends on the controller.

I've been running a software raid with a pair of raptors in Linux for a year now, no problems.
